Elaveezhapoonchira alias Ilaveezhapoonchira is a nice place and picnic spot located in the midst of the beautiful hillocks Kanjar, near Thodupuzha in Kerala. Its a small hill station at 3700 feet above sea level and ideal place for trekking. It is easily accessible from Palai in Kottayam district. Surrounded by three enchanting hillocks - Mankunnu, Kodayathoormal and Thonippara - makes this place ideal for trekking. Ideal time to visit is post monsoon months, says September to January. It is one of the comparatively virginal tourist destinations in Kerala and it is located at distance of 55 km from Kottayam and 26 km from Thodupuzha. Ilaveezhpoonchira, means the 'valley where leaves don't fall' and is so named because the place has no trees. This is also one of the best places in Kerala to witness the sunrise and sunset. At the spot you can view four hillocks and between them a verdant valley. At top of one of these hills, Kudayathoor Vindhyan, one can view large parts of Idukki, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta and Thrissur districts; it also offers excellent views of sunrise and sunset. We organises treks during weekends or on request, and travels through mountains and wilderness areas in the mountains surrounded by the resort, and occasionally, long treks are organized. There are lot of tourists are using our services from outside India and inside, mainly expatriates who live or lived in Chennai and Bangalore and became part of clients. In addition to providing a nice break from urban and corporate life, many activities organized by ourselves.
